PALM BEACH COUNTY — Palm Beach Lakes made a statement Thursday night, delivering a dominant performance on both sides of the football in a 42-0 shutout victory over Boca Raton.

From the opening kickoff, the Lakes controlled the game, with their defense setting the tone. Palm Beach Lakes kept Boca Raton off the scoreboard for the entire night while consistently putting the offense in favorable field position.

Head coach TMO Moreland credited the defense for playing a major role in the blowout win.

“Our defense was huge tonight,” Moreland said. “They kept creating short fields for the offense and gave us opportunities to put points on the board.”

New QB Jordan Shines in Debut

New transfer quarterback Jordan looked comfortable running the Palm Beach Lakes offense, spreading the football around and getting multiple playmakers involved.

Jordan was extremely efficient through the air, finishing with approximately 250 passing yards and two touchdowns while throwing no more than two incompletions. His ability to make the right reads and distribute the football helped keep Boca Raton’s defense on its heels throughout the game.

Ryan Ferdinand Shows Why He’s Elite

One of Jordan’s biggest weapons was Colorado commit Ryan Ferdinand, who once again showed why he is considered one of the elite receivers in the area. Ferdinand delivered one of the biggest highlights of the night when he took an 60 yards TD reception to the house. After making the catch, Ferdinand used brilliant footwork to break free and turn the play into a touchdown. It was another big-time performance from a receiver who continues to show he can change a game whenever the football is in his hands.

Three-Headed Attack in the Backfield

The Rams also showed they have plenty of weapons on the ground. Palm Beach Lakes features an impressive three-headed backfield with Jacarious Pratt, Clyde Ward and Erskin Jackson. All three made their presence felt against Boca Raton, with each finding the end zone during the 42-point offensive explosion. With three talented running backs capable of producing big plays, an efficient quarterback distributing the football and Ferdinand creating problems on the outside, Palm Beach Lakes showed just how difficult this offense can be to defend.

But on this night, the biggest statement may have come from the other side of the ball.

Forty-two points scored. Zero points allowed.

Palm Beach Lakes didn’t just pick up a win — the Rams delivered a complete performance and sent an early message that they could be a team to watch this season.
